Hello! Nice to see you here, I'm Moira! :] You should probably know that about half of my journal is friends only, and the majority of that is filtered. I have a couple reading filters and others relating to how I know you/etc. I also have three main filters that you can request to join. "music" which gets involved in the music scene. I have "music mondays" where I talk about a different band I've been listening to, be it new, old, good, bad, or somewhere in between. A discussion of it, if you will. Sometimes I look at a song, sometimes a whole artist. It's not something that interests everyone, so just let me know if you want in!

The second filter is my tmi_boys filter, which basically rambles on about my love life, or lack there of, whichever may be at the time. Certainly not interesting to everyone. The last one is the tmi_funtimes filter, which focuses on.. hm... ahem... another side of that 'love life.'

The rest of my journal? Daily events, including work, etc. Any random links I might find interesting. Politically/psychologically fueled rants! Other things you might want to know...

I have very high self esteem but that doesn't mean I don't have problems on occasion. I care about others a lot and love meeting new people and learning new things. I intend on pursuing a career in social work where I hope to be able to make a profound impact on the lives of others. I see something beautiful/handsome in everyone I meet - I think everyone deserves high self esteem. I use the term "narcissist" extremely loosely - only in reference to the great pride I take in myself (be it physical, mental, etc) even when my appearance/etc at the time is perhaps not the best in the world. ;) I see myself as no greater (but also no less than) anyone else in this world.

Sometimes I have a lot to say and write a lot on livejournal, up to four posts a day. Other times I have very little to say and go weeks without posting anything. If either of these extremes bother you, do not add me. Also, see me writing a lot about a topic you really don't care for? Just tell me, I won't be offended. I'm not going to stop getting my thoughts down because you don't want to read them, but I certainly don't mind filtering you off of those posts.

Which brings me to my next point. My blog is my blog, and I will talk about what I want to talk about. If you don't want to read it, you don't have to, I don't bite. Just because you're on my friends list doesn't mean you're obligated to read everything I write. God not even I would want to read it all, and I certainly hope you don't waste your own time reading the details of every little word. Read whatever topics interest you, avoid (or ask me to filter you off) the rest. I don't care. But for goodness sake, don't go reading and commenting when in all honesty you don't give a shit. I will love you anyway, I promise. <3

I occasionally have some deep thought on my mind or self-discovery moment and feel a need to share it with you all. These posts are more rare than they used to be, but still happen once in a while.

Sometimes I get bored and fill out a survey. Other times I post some of the art or web design work I've been doing. Only in the latter scenario should you feel any need to read. :P And then of course there's the whole of the "misc." category. :)

I read my friends page as much as I can, and by golly (yep, I said it) it sure has gotten length thanks to AMA. I read every single entry my friends post, but I don't always comment if I can't think of anything worthwhile to say. Comments aren't a sign of care, I still read everything, and I still care. I don't add folks I have no care or interest in. As such, I don't expect you to comment on everything either. It balances out like that, yes?

Lastly, I am a very open and honest person, and if you ever have any curiosities over me, please feel free to inquire. I love answering questions, I'm always learning new things about myself from them.
